Hilco Industrial, experts in the auction of industrial machinery, is to sell a complete dairy production plant. The assets come to the market at the instruction of the administrators of dairy firm Tomlinson’s Dairy Limited.
Tomlinson’s was established 36 years ago and was one of the largest dairy product processing and packaging firms in the UK. The company went into administration on the 15th of October 2019, following operating losses in recent years coupled with increased energy costs and a fall in the price of cream. The online auction will take place on the 11th of February. The assets, which may be inspected between the 3rd and 7th of February by appointment only, are located in Wrexham, UK.
Items featured in the sale include: Ektam filling lines; pouch filling equipment by Thimonnier and Glopack; bottle filling equipment including Pergall-Nova, Dawson, Federal and Elopak filling lines and shrink wrapping equipment; yoghurt pot, cream pot and cream bottle filling lines. Pasteurisation and standardisation equipment; homogenisers; plate heat exchanger and separators. Raw milk transfer and finished milk storage tanks, cream storage tanks, CIP unit, laboratory equipment, compressors, boilers and support equipment.
