In an auction held in partnership with Prestige Auctions, The Branford Group is selling cranes and fabricating equipment formerly operated by Chattanooga Boiler & Tank. The assets come to the market following plant closure.
Chattanooga Boiler & Tank was established in 1905, originally manufacturing steam radiators. The firm specialises in the fabrication, erection and maintenance of steel vessels and plate tanks. Chattanooga Boiler & Tank fabricates products in a range of steels – including carbon stainless and duplex stainless steel – for supply to the chemical, mining, water, power, pulp and paper, oil and refining industries.
The online auction will open on the 17th of November, and bidding on lots closes on the 18th of November. Pre-auction offers will be accepted on bridge cranes and major equipment. The assets are located in Chattanooga, Tennessee and can be inspected by appointment on the 15th of November. Equipment available in the auction includes: 21 overhead bridge cranes including models by Deshazo, Kone, Demag and Dixie; Pangborn 4 wheel vertical plate blast system; Thermal Arc Powermaster 500P mig welders; Ransome SHD 16×16 dual wire sub-arc weld manipulator; Pullmax vertical/horizontal angle bending roll; 2007 Koike Aronson plasma cutting system and much, much more.
