CRG is a global private equity firm with a breadth of experience in creating liquidity for clients, revitalising underperforming assets and liquidating surplus. The firm offers clients a range of selling platforms, such as live webcast auctions, online auctions, private treaty sales and complete turnkey solutions, across many different industry sectors. CRG (with assistance from Rabin and PPL Group) is selling equipment from a pulp and paper mill formerly operated by Appvion.
Appvion specialises in speciality and technical paper coatings. Earlier this year Appvion announced the closure of their facility located in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania impacting on 293 jobs. The decision to close the site, which had been in operation since 1866, was influenced by market constraints resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The online auction will take place on the 17th of November. The assets are available for inspection on the 16th of November, or by appointment with the auctioneer.
