14th May 2020 – Sale of Stamping Presses from Gill Industries

Auction and appraisal firm BIDITUP has more than 100 years of experience providing asset solutions to businesses across the world. BIDITUP are selling a huge range of late model stamping presses and other equipment formerly of Gill Industries. The sale takes place in conjunction with Maynards Industries.

Gill Industries was founded in 1964, beginning as a small tool and die company. The company now manufactures precision-engineered modules and assemblies including seating mechanisms and structures, other automotive mechanisms, welded assembles, stampings and non-automotive components. Earlier this year Gill Industries filed notice with the state regarding the planned closure of their production facility located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The company plan to consolidate operations into a single production facility close to its headquarters.

The global webcast auction will take place on the 14th of May. The assets can be inspected on the 11th, 12th and 13th of May. Items featured in the sale include:

Press lines including: Eagle 1,000-ton press line; Verson 1,000 ton press line; Minster 600 ton press line; Aida 121 ton, 175 ton and 600 ton press lines; Stamtec 60 ton, 110 ton, 176 ton, 200 ton, 275 ton and 300 ton press lines. Fanuc welding cells; 2-station welding cell; water cooled frame PEM welding cell; robotic welding cells. Assembly cells. Toolroom equipment including: spot welders; presses; nut runner assembly cell; spin riveter; plasma cutter; drills; lathes; band saws; grinders.
