Vancouver-based global asset management firm Ritchie Bros. was first established in 1958 and has since grown to be one of the largest auctioneers of trucks and heavy equipment worldwide. The firm operates more than 40 permanent auction sites across the world, providing auctioneering services to businesses across the construction, mining and transportation sectors amongst others. With large gatherings limited in light of the COVID-19 crisis, Ritchie Bros. have continued equipment auctions utilising their online technologies, seeing more than 23,500 bidders registering from 58 countries for their first entirely online auction. The sale from Ritchie Bros. Edmonton site saw a total gross transactional value in excess of CA$184M.
Ritchie Bros. will sell over 2,000 items from their Toronto site in an online auction taking place between the 15th and 17th of July.
