Perfection Industrial Sales is auctioning assets surplus to the ongoing operations of Alcoa. The assets come to the market following the complete closure of the Alcoa Wenatchee Works aluminum smelting facility.
Alcoa is a major producer of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum and alumina. Alcoa produces billet, foundry, rod and slab castings and patented aluminum alloys, smelter-grade alumina and non-metallurgical grade alumina. The company is also one of the largest bauxite miners in the world.
The auction takes place over three days, with live webcast auctions on the 18th and 19th of October, and an online auction closing on the 20th of October. The assets are located in Malaga, Washington and can be inspected by appointment only at a sale preview scheduled for the 17th of October.
Day 1 of the auction features machine shop, carpenter shop, welding and plant support equipment including: Leblond 32″ X 180″ lathe, Lodge & Shipley powerturn 2516 lathe, Roundo PS-205 10′ X 0.31″ plate bending roll, Cincinnati Century 4H10 shear, Steelweld H3-1/2-8 press brake, Chambersburg 15 CH forging hammer, Cameron Turbo-Air 3000 centrifugal air compressor, Oliver 217 vertical bandsaw, Acer Ultima 3VK milling machine.
Day 2 of the auction features rolling stock, wheeled loaders, lifts, forklifts, steel mill assets and plant support equipment including: Royal A-20 Haul Master crucible hauler, Caterpillar 905 wheel loader, John Deere 624G wheel loader, Komatsu Avance PG200-6LC excavator, Genie S-65 telescoping boom lift, Ford Super Duty custom bucket truck, Grove RT 600B rough terrain hydraulic mobile crane, Peterbilt Fast-Vac industrial vacuum truck.
Day 3 of the auction features: maintenance equipment, bearings, electrical motors, gear boxes, spare parts and more.
