Heritage Global Partners is selling a selection of late model laboratory equipment formerly operated by Zymergen. The auction is held in partnership with Surplus Solutions LLC.
Founded in 2013, Zymergen is a biotechnology firm headquartered in Emeryville, California with offices in New York, Cambridge, Tokyo and Taipei. Zymergen uses genomic, machine learning and automation techniques to design and manufacture products for application in the healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture and electronics sectors. The firm was acquired by cell engineering company Ginkgo Bioworks earlier this year.
The auction opens on the 17th of October and bidding closes on the 19th of October. The assets are located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and can be previewed by appointment with the auctioneer only.
