New Mill Capital is selling a fully automated apple receiving, washing, grading and packaging plant for bags, trays and boxes operated by Heeran Bros.
Produce distribution firm Heeran Bros. merged with Walsma & Lyons in 2019 to form Vine Line Produce Distribution. The firm distribute fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy and floral products. Vine Line Produce Distribution provides fresh cut fruit and vegetables for the food service, retail and institutional sectors, including fruit and vegetable variety trays, individual and mixed dice and sliced fruit and vegetable packs.
The online auction will open on the 27th of October and bidding closes on the 3rd of November. Assets available in the sale include: high-speed washing and grading line with robotic bin handling / dumping system, Mof-Roda Agrobotic 6-lane optical sorter, wash flume system, (2) Maf-Roda dry pack bin fillers, 28-lane grading discharge and 28-flume stainless steel isolation and delivery system, (2) graded product robotic bin dumping stations to water flumes delivered to (2) drying and wax coating lines, Cedis-Maf Automated 12-station fruit bagging line, tray packing line, (8) lane PLU sticker applicator, tray dispenser, casing, Maf-Roda auto box fillers, Maf-Roda PNW quick bag packers, case sealers and palletizing and much more. The assets are located in Comstock Park, Michigan and can be viewed by appointment with the auctioneer only. The 112,000 sqft cold storage and food processing plant, built in 2013, is also available for sale or lease.
