6th December 2022 – Die Casting Cell & Machining Center Sale

Workingman Capital is selling fully automated die casting cells, CNC lathes, machining centers, robots and die cast support equipment surplus to the ongoing operations of Magna Powertrain. The auction takes place in conjunction with Hilco Commercial Industrial and Die Cast Machinery LLC.

American firm Magna Powertrain manufactures transmission and drivetrain systems. Their products include body exteriors and structures, power and vision systems, seating systems and complete vehicles.

The webcast auction will take place on the 6th of December. The assets are located in Mississauga, Ontario and can be inspected ahead of the auction on the 5th of December. Equipment featured in the sale includes: (5) Evolution EV B 180 DL 1806 metric ton (18000 KN) 2023 U.S. ton horizontal cold chamber aluminum high pressure die casting machines; (2) Evolution EV B 220 DL 2243 metric ton (22000 KN) 2472 U.S. ton horizontal cold chamber aluminum high pressure die casting machines; (7) fully automated Buhler die casting cells up to 2,200 ton; (5) 2013 Okuma LT 3000 EX twin spindle CNC lathes; (2) 2006 DMG Twin 42 twin spindle CNC lathes; (2) Mitutoyo Crysta, Mach 403 CMMs; (2) 2016, (1) 2013, (1) 2003, (1) 2004 Carl Zeiss Contura CMMs; (2) 2006 Studer CNC ID grinders; (4) 2011 Mori Seiki NHX 4000 CNC horizontal machining centers; (1) 2004, (1) 2003 DMG CTV 250 CNC vertical lathes and much, much more.
