New Mill Capital is selling assets from a dried fruit processing plant formerly operated by Oceana Foods.
The Oceana Foods plant in Shelby, Michigan features blending, drying and evaporative process equipment and retail and food service packaging lines. The plant specialised in the drying and processing of Montmorency tart cherries grown in and around Michigan. In July Cherry Central Cooperative announced plans to idle the facility, following year-over-year cherry crop shortages.
The online auction will open on the 19th of January and bidding on lots will close on the 26th of January.
