Asset disposition specialist New Mill Capital has expertise in buying and selling surplus manufacturing equipment and real estate across a broad range of industries, including processing, packaging, food and beverage and general manufacturing. The firm also holds more than 15 million square feet of idle turnkey manufacturing plant across the United States. New Mill Capital is selling assets from a dried fruit processing plant formerly operated by Oceana Foods.

The Oceana Foods plant in Shelby, Michigan features blending, drying and evaporative process equipment and retail and food service packaging lines. The plant specialised in the drying and processing of Montmorency tart cherries grown in and around Michigan. In July Cherry Central Cooperative announced plans to idle the facility, following year-over-year cherry crop shortages.

The online auction will open on the 19th of January and bidding on lots will close on the 26th of January. The assets can be inspected by appointment with the auctioneer only and include: Aeroglide and Proctor drying lines with oscillating in-feeds, unused 2019 zipper pouch packaging machine, 2,000 gallon jacketed twin shaft paddle blenders, 2016 DTS fruit infusion system, 2016 vertical form fill and seal, process evaporators, stainless steel vertical and horizontal storage tanks, Yamato Scales, Sweeco screeners, Urschel reduction, unused centrifuge, fluid screeners, checkweighers, supersack, case sealers, optical sorting, fruit processing lines, like new teardrop pallet racking, metal detectors, late model forklift fleet, conveyor systems, fastback conveyors, maintenance and extensive spare parts, pallet wrappers, plant support equipment, like new air compressors, scales, boilers and more.
