New Mill Capital is selling a fully automated apple receiving, washing, grading and packaging plant for bags, trays and boxes operated by Heeran Bros.

Produce distribution firm Heeran Bros. merged with Walsma & Lyons in 2019 to form Vine Line Produce Distribution. The firm distributes fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy and floral products. Vine Line Produce Distribution provides fresh cut fruit and vegetables for the food service, retail and institutional sectors, including fruit and vegetable variety trays, individual and mixed diced and sliced fruit and vegetable packs.

The online auction will open on the 31st of January and bidding closes on the 7th of February. Assets available in the sale include: high-speed washing and grading line with robotic bin handling / dumping system, 28-lane grading discharge and 28-flume stainless steel isolation and delivery system with automated bin filling selection system, All MAF Roda Agrobotic 6-lane optical sorter, (2) graded product robotic bin dumping stations to water flumes delivered to (2) drying and wax coating lines, Cedis-MAF automated 12-station fruit bagging line, (2) Maf-Roda dry pack bin fillers, tray packing line with Accu-Label ORB-it G-2 (8) lane PLU sticker applicator, (4) Maf-Roda PNW quick bag packers, (4) Maf-Roda auto box fillers and much more. The 112,000 sqft cold storage and food processing plant, built in 2013, is also available for sale or lease.
