Established in 1975 and incorporated in 1985, Ohio based Myron Bowling Auctioneers is one of the largest industrial auctioneers in the United States. The firm conducts around 80 auctions each year across the United States, Mexico and Canada. Myron Bowling auctioneers are selling a large selection of die casting, plastic injection molding and other equipment formerly of Modern Transmission Development. The auction takes place in conjunction with PPL Auction.
MTD specialises in the manufacture of outdoor power equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, snow throwers, tillers and trimmers for commercial and residential customers. Headquartered in Ohio, the firm have facilities across North America, Asia, Europe and Australia. MTD announced the closure of their facility in Leitchfield, Kentucky in October 2019. The decision came following evaluation of the manufacturing footprint of the company. Production from the plant will be moved to other facilities.
