19th June 2020 – Die Casting and Plastic Injection Molding Equipment for Sale

Established in 1975 and incorporated in 1985, Ohio based Myron Bowling Auctioneers is one of the largest industrial auctioneers in the United States. The firm conducts around 80 auctions each year across the United States, Mexico and Canada. Myron Bowling auctioneers are selling a large selection of die casting, plastic injection molding and other equipment formerly of Modern Transmission Development. The auction takes place in conjunction with PPL Auction.

MTD specialises in the manufacture of outdoor power equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, snow throwers, tillers and trimmers for commercial and residential customers. Headquartered in Ohio, the firm have facilities across North America, Asia, Europe and Australia. MTD announced the closure of their facility in Leitchfield, Kentucky in October 2019. The decision came following evaluation of the manufacturing footprint of the company. Production from the plant will be moved to other facilities.

The webcast auction will take place on the 19th of June. The assets can be inspected on the day before the auction. Items featured in the sale include:

Die casting machines including: 4 HPM 900-ton and 2 HPM 600-ton horizontal die casting machines; IDRA 661-ton horizontal die casting machine. Die casting trim presses including: 3 Metal Mechanics 50-ton trim presses. Fanuc extraction robots. Die casting furnaces by Frank W. Schaeffer. Plastic injection molders manufactured by Cincinnati, Mitsubishi, Van Dorn, Toshiba, HPM, Nissei and Husky. Plastic dryers including: Una-Dyn dehumidifying hopper dryer; Bry-Air Systems dryer; Dri-Air dryer; Con-Air dryers. Plastic support equipment, storage silos, cooling towers/chillers, cardboard balers, toolroom equipment, rolling stock, yard equipment and more.
