The Branford Group is selling late model laboratory equipment from Akorn Pharmaceuticals. The assets come to the market due to bankruptcy. The auction takes place in conjunction with Heritage Global Partners and Surplus Solutions LLC.
Akorn Pharmaceuticals develops and manufactures speciality pharmaceuticals, including consumer health, animal health and prescription products. The firm specialises in alternate dosage formats for branded and generic pharmaceutical products including oral liquids, topicals, nasal sprays, injectables and oral liquids. The firm filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy earlier this year.
The online auction will open on the 5th of June and bidding on lots will close on the 7th of June. The assets available include: (5) Agilent 1260 Infinity II HPLC; (2) Waters Acquity UPLC; Agilent 7890A GC; Waters 2414 RI detector; Thermo Fisher Scientific RFMS2305A; (2) ThermoScientific Heratherm ovens; (3) Silverson L5M-A high shear lab mixers; (2) Parker Balston hydrogen generator H2PEM-260; (2) Parker Balston nitrogen generator UHPN2-1100; (2) Parker Balston zero air generator HPZA-3500 and much more. The assets are located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and can be inspected by appointment with the auctioneer only.
