Ritchie Bros., the global asset management and disposition company with 40+ permanent auction sites around the world and operations in 15+ countries, are to sell thousands of items through an unreserved public auction at its site in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday Apr 21, 2020 to Wednesday Apr 22, 2020.
Ritchie Bros. sold US$61+ million of equipment in their first Texas auction of 2020. More than 8,850 people from 71 countries registered to bid in the February 11 – 12 Houston auction, including 6,950+ registering to participate online. U.S. buyers purchased approximately 90 percent of the equipment, with the top three state buyers being Texas, California, and Georgia, while international buyers from such countries as Australia, India, and the United Kingdom purchased 10 percent of the equipment. Online buyers purchased 58% of the assets.
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus, online bidding is required for this April Auction and customers will have to register for free on the Richie Brothers platform to enable them to bid. All items will be sold via photograph only. Presently, auction sites are still open for equipment inspection – please arrange to inspect before auction day, as govt. regulations limit the number of people onsite.
