Gordon Brothers, in partnership with New Mill Capital, is selling assets from a muffin and decorative cake plant formerly owned by Muffin Mam.

Wholesale bakery Muffin Mam was established in 1992, growing from a small café business. Their products included muffins, pound cakes and decorated cakes and cupcakes, supplied to outlets across the United States. The closure of the company was announced late last year.

Bidding in the online auction opens on the 9th of February and closes on the 16th of February. The 100,000 square foot commercial bakery plant features assets valued at over $11 million, most of which were purchased between 2018 and 2020. Equipment available in the auction includes: 2019 Henry Group indirect gas fired tunnel oven, Baxter rack ovens, 2019 Unifiller cake decorating lines, Unifiller depositors and hopper toppers, cake and muffin depositing lines, 2019 VMI planetary mixers, 2020 Oakes 60” 75 HP slurry skid with holding tank, manual lines with individual Unifiller decorating equipment, 2020 FoodTools cake slabbing line and ultrasonic slicers, 2019 packaging equipment and plant support equipment, cakes, muffins and other bulk ingredient inventory, and more. The assets are located in Laurens, South Carolina and may be inspected by appointment with the auctioneer only.
