Established in 1958, Vancouver-based Ritchie Bros. is a leading auctioneer of heavy equipment, operating from more than 15 countries. The firm provides online auctioneering services alongside on-site auctions from more than 40 permanent locations. Ritchie Bros. auctions have moved entirely online during the COVID-19 pandemic. In June the firm sold over 5,000 lots in an online auction from their Fort Worth facility. More than 11,600 bidders registered from 68 countries for the sale which had a total gross transactional value of US$81+ million.
