Rabin is auctioning food Processing equipment and packaging equipment from a complete potato chip production facility formerly operated by Mikesell’s Snack Food Company. The auction takes place in partnership with CRG.
Ohio based Mikesell’s Snack Food Company was founded in 1910. The firm manufactured snack food products including popcorn, potato chips, pretzels and cheese curls for distribution throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Central Illinois and Indiana. The closure of the firm was announced earlier this year.
The auction will take place on the 13th of September and features: potato receiving and preparation equipment including fully enclosed truck with trailer hydraulic dumping system, raw potato storage bin system with Heat & Control dumper, Heat & Control tandem peeling system and Heat & Control starch recovery deck; batch type kettle chip cooking system; continuous chip cooking department including (2) Heat & Control continuous hot oil chip frying systems, Urschel CC potato slicers with pre wash reels and Heat & Control model HX-80 hot oil heat exchanger; Maddox MX650 baked cheese puff line (including (3) puff extruders, continuous belt baked puff oven and rotary seasoner with (2) make-up kettles, pumps and ingredient sprayer; bagging and packaging equipment, material handling and facility support equipment and more. The equipment is located in Dayton, Ohio.
