3rd March 2020 – Sale of Hardwood Plywood Manufacturing Facility

Corporate Assets Inc. has expertise in industrial auction, appraisal and asset management, providing services to clients worldwide. The firm will sell assets from the 200,000 square foot Columbia Forest Products facility located in Trumann, Arkansas.

The assets include well maintained late model equipment and production lines used in the manufacture of wood flooring products. Columbia Forest Products was established in 1957, specializing in the manufacture of hardwood veneer and plywood. In 2019 the company announced plans to permanently close their Trumann plant which had been in operation since 1986. The decision to cease hardwood plywood production at the site was influenced by the impact on the business of the import of Chinese cabinets and plywood.

The onsite and online auction takes place on the 3rd of March. Items featured in the sale, which may be inspected on the day before and on the morning of the auction include:

Veneer coating/UV curing production line; automated hot roll panel lamination line; decorative plywood 3-ply automated glue/press line; panel sawing/sizing production line; panel sanding production line; decorative plywood production line; 2 pass plywood sawing/sizing line; plywood sanding line; glue mixing systems; glue spreader; cold presses; a selection of conventional machinery, factory support equipment and rolling stock.

Should a buyer wish to operate onsite the facility is available to lease.
