Harry Davis & Company is selling a complete end-to-end meat processing facility formerly operated by Smithfield Foods.

Founded in 1936, Smithfield Foods is an American food company headquartered in Smithfield, Virginia. The company was acquired in 2013 by Hong Kong-based WH Group. Smithfield Foods is the largest pork processor in the world and manufactures sausages, hams, lunchmeat and hot dogs under a number of different brand names.

The online auction will be held between the 7th and 9th of September. Equipment featured in the sale includes: Processing equipment including Reitz extructors, Mince Masters up to 150 Hp., grinders, auger conveyors, Reitz and RMF blenders, Mettler Toledo safe line metal detector, 2017 Lantech stretch wrapper. Hog kill floor equipment including Leblanc and Fromtatec conveyor systems, 2015 Falk and other saws, Apache 8000 gallon S/S vertical tanks, Sewco Vibro energy separator, intestine washers and presses, whip polishers, S/S platforms. Refrigeration equipment including Frick and FES ammonia screw compressors, valves, condensers, ammonia components and evaporators. General plant equipment including Allen Bradley switch gear, fork lifts and battery chargers, plastic totes and pallets, new spare parts and motors, Lista tool cabinets, laboratory equipment and offices. The assets are located in Smithfield, Virginia.
