This April The Branford Group will auction a selection of late model metal fabrication and machining equipment surplus to the ongoing operation of Valley Tool and Manufacturing LLC. The sale takes place in conjunction with Prestige Auctions.
Valley Tool and Manufacturing LLC resulted from the merger of two companies: Maurer Metalcraft and Valley Tool, both of which were established in 1948. Maurer Metalcraft initially specialised in decorative metal spinning before moving into the development of prototype components for helicopters and sheet metal fabrication. Valley Tool began as a tool and die operation, providing machining services across a broad range of industries. Valley Tool and Manufacturing LLC manufactures precision machined parts and fabricated components for the aerospace industry.
The online auction opens on the 4th of May and bidding on lots closes on the 6th of May. The assets, located in Orange and Milford, Connecticut, can be inspected by appointment only. Items featured in the sale include: Amada punch laser combination; Amada high speed flying optic laser; Amada Togu-III punch and die sharpener. CNC press brakes including: Amada HDS-8025-NT servo-hydraulic press brake (new 2010); Amada RG80LD upacting CNC press brake; Toyokoki (Mitsubishi) APB286U, electric 2-axis CNC press brake. Flow Hyperjet 50 water jet cutting system. CNC vertical machining centers including:Haas Super Mini Mill (2007); DahlLih DL-MCV1020BA machining center, (2006); 200 ton and 150 ton hydraulic presses.
