Auction of Distribution Center Equipment

Industrial auction specialists Myron Bowling will sell a wide selection of equipment following the closure of the Baker & Taylor distribution center in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Baker & Taylor were established in 1828. Initially book binders and publishers, the firm went on to distribute books, entertainment products and digital media. Earlier this year Baker & Taylor announced that they would cease the wholesale distribution of books to retailers.The move will align operations more closely with parent company Follet Corporation, who acquired Baker & Taylor in 2016 and provide books, multi-media materials and digital content to schools and libraries.

The live auction and webcast will take place on the 21st of November. Registration for online bidding is via BidSpotter.com. The assets, which may be inspected the day before the auction, will be sold in around 750 lots and include: Interlake Teardrop-Style Pallet Racking, LPG & Electric Forklifts, 12,000-lb. to 3,000-lb. Capacities, Tennant & Powerboss Floor Sweepers / Scrubbers, Electric Golf Carts; JLG, Genie & MEC Scissor Lifts, Maren Horizontal Cardboard Baler, Lantech Stretch Wrappers, Gravity and Powered Conveyor, Air Compressors & Dryers, Late-Model COMBI Box Erectors, Sealed Air Automated Packaging Systems, Label Printers, Digital Scales, Scissor Lift Tables, Rubbermaid Dump Hoppers, Hand & Power Tools, Battery Chargers and Pallet Jacks.
