Auction of Metal Fabrication Equipment

Industrial auctioneers The Branford Group are to sell an extensive range of metal fabrication equipment surplus to the ongoing requirements of GE Controls & Power Electronics, located in Salem, Virginia. The sale takes place under the management of Chain Asset Management Solutions.

GE Power announced plans to close their Salem plant in 2018. The site manufactured integrated circuit boards and control equipment for steam and gas generators, starters for gas turbines and components of wind turbine blade controls. The closure was attributed by the company to a decline in orders to the site.

Bidding in the online auction closes on the 4th of December. Pre-auction offers will be entertained on large packages of equipment and major machines. The assets include: 2014 Amada Fiber Laser System; 2013 Amada CNC High Speed Servo-Electric Turret Punch Press; Amada CNC Turret Punch, Vipros 357; 2014 Amada HDS2204NT Electric/ Hydraulic CNC Press Brake; 2014 Amada HD 1003 ATC, 100 Ton Press Brake; 2013 Trumpf Trubend 5170 CNC Press Brake;2014 Amada FabriVISION FVL-HD-4848 Laser Inspection System; 2014 Amada Togu III Precision Automatic Die/Punch Grinder; 2011 Euromac CNC Bender Model Digi 400; 2013 Boschert Hydraulic Copper Punch Machine; fabricating and welding equipment. Toolroom facility and support equipment.

The assets may be inspected on the 2nd and 3rd of December.
