The firm also holds more than 15 million square feet of idle manufacturing plant across the United States. New Mill Capital is selling microbrewery equipment formerly of Skull Mechnanix Brewing.
Texas-based craft brewery Skull Mechanix Brewing opened in 2018. The brewery hosted live music and private events, as well as brewing strong lagers and ales. Skull Mechanix closed their taproom in March 2020 in compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, reopening temporarily in May. A surge in COVID-19 cases in Texas led to the brewery reclosing their taproom facility in mid-June. Although Skull Mechanix were able to offer beer to-go, the sales from this were insufficient to avoid closure.
The online auction begins on the 22nd of October and bidding on lots will close on the 29th of October. The equipment is located in Pflugerville, Texas and can be viewed by appointment with the auctioneer only. The auction features 2017 and 2019 brewing equipment including: (7) 2017 Criveller 15 BBL serving tanks; (4) 2019 ABE 15 BBL serving tanks; 2017 Criveller 15 BBL brewhouse; 2017 Criveller floor standing grist case; 2015 Engl mill grain crusher; Dari Kool stainless steel horizontal jacketed storage tank; 2017 Criveller dual head keg washer RO & Water softening system.
