18th August 2020 – Auction of CNC Scientific Glassware Production and Fabrication Equipment

Founded in 1892, Tauber-Arons is a family-operated auctioneering firm headquartered in Los Angeles. Tauber-Arons conducts around 50 live and online auctions and 300 appraisals each year, providing services to companies across a range of industries, worldwide. In a timed online auction on the 18th of August Tauber-Arons will sell CNC custom scientific glassware production and fabrication equipment formerly of Killdee Scientific Glass Company.

Killdee Scientific Glass specialise in glass blowing for the industrial, pharmaceutical, scientific and defense sectors, manufacturing glassware using quartz and borosilicate glass. With 35 years of experience, their services include custom fabrication, repair and modification of glassware, silver plating, chemical tempering, plastic safety coating and precision glass grinding.

The assets are located in Fallbrook, California and may be inspected on the 17th of August and on the morning of the sale. Items featured in the auction include: (2004) Fadal VMC 4020, HT, Vertical CNC Machine Center; Webb 17”G x 40” gap bed engine lathe; Bridgeport 1hp vertical mill; Delta Rockwell multi speed vertical band saw; Baldor double end grinder; Cress electric kilns; custom glass ovens; Recco furnace. Glass lathes including: Herbert Arnold Glastechnische 60” x 10’ glass lathe; Litton Mod. LSJ, 18” x 36” glass lathe; Litton Mod. HSJ, 18” x 48” glass lathe with tail stock spindle. Wale glass cut off saw; Wilt 36” twin table; Glastechnische Maschinen glass cutting unit; vibratory finishing mill; lapping machines.
