1st October 2020 – Auction of Foundry and Finishing Machinery

London based Lambert Smith Hampton is a market leader in asset management and auctions, working with clients across 40 industry sectors. The firm specialises in asset disposal, valuations, asset-based lending, closure programmes, business sales and corporate recovery, optimising value of plant and machinery.

Lambert Smith Hampton is selling greensand casting equipment and finishing machinery used in the manufacture of chilled and ductile iron camshaft castings. The equipment, formerly of JD Norman Lydney Ltd, is available following the appointment of administrators to the company earlier this year.

JD Norman Lydney specialised in the production of semi-finished chilled grey iron camshaft castings for used in the automotive and motor cycle industries. Their greensand foundry in Lydney, Gloucestershire, was built in 1991 and has been upgraded in recent years. The plant has the capacity to manufacture around 5 million chilled iron camshafts per year.

The online auction of around 1,000 lots ends on the 1st of October. The assets are available for viewing on the 28th and 29th of September. Items featured in the sale include:
