Due to the consolidation of buildings at their site in East Peoria, Illinois, USA, Perfection Global Auctioneers, are to host a large 2-day auction to sell manufacturing assets from Caterpillar. Perfection are no stranger to hosting large sales of this kind. By producing mining and construction equipment, natural gas and diesel engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives, Caterpillar’s sales and revenues in 2018 totalled $54.7 billion, making them a leading global manufacturer.

Auctions of the assets, due to the consolidation of Building HH, in East Peoria, will take place over 2 days, August 22nd and 27th 2019.

Day 1 will see over 500 lots being sold including CNC Machine Tools & Machinery, Gear Machinery, Inspection Equipment and Wash Lines, Material Handling & Plant Support.

On Day 2, over 750 lots will be up for auction, including Proceco Turntable & Ransohoff Pass-Through Parts Washers, Tool Cabinets, Machine Parts, Electric Pallet Jacks and over 100 Crane Systems.

All of the assets which are for sale can be previewed on August 21st.

The Cantech facility in Johnson City, Tennessee, was an expansion of the company from Montreal in 1983. Since then the company has continued to grow with a new production line being installed in 2015 to make strapping tape products. The choice to close the Johnson City facility was said to be a ‘Business Decision’.
