In a webcast auction on the 28th of September Myron Bowling Auctioneers will sell equipment for the manufacture of leather goods formerly of Tasman Industries Inc.
Family-operated Tasman Industries was first founded in 1947 and has grown to be a major player in the supply of USA leather to the global market.Their leather is used in products including garments, footwear, military items, handbags and in items for the hospitality industry. Earlier this year Tasman Industries announced the closure of their facility in Hartland, Maine, impacting on 115 jobs. The decision was taken as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on product demand.
