Canadian based auctioneer Ritchie Bros. was established in Kelowna, British Columbia in 1958. With expertise in asset management and machinery sales, the company specialises in buying and selling heavy equipment including construction, farm, forestry and mining equipment, trucks and Government surplus. Ritchie Bros. has over 40 permanent auction sites in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Australia and operations in more than 15 countries across the world. Ritchie Bros. offers clients a range of multi-channel and sector-specific sales services, including live auction events with online bidding, online listing services, online marketplaces and privately negotiated sales.
Ritchie Bros. June sale from their Edmonton site closed with a gross transaction value of CA$70 million. Almost 15,000 bidders registered for the three-day auction from 64 countries. Over 90% of equipment was sold to Canadian buyers, with 8% sold to international buyers.
Between the 15th and 16th of July Ritchie Bros. will sell a huge offering of heavy equipment from their Lethbridge site. Bidding at the auction will be online only, with no on-site bidding available.
