Westech Building Products was founded in 1979 as Engineered Products Ltd and specialised in the extrusion of custom shapes for the door and window industry.The closure of their Mount Vernon plant commenced in summer 2019. In a statement the company attributed the closure to “increased competition as well as dramatic changes in technology”.
The live onsite and webcast auction will take place on the 10th of March. The assets may be inspected ahead of the sale by appointment or on the day before the auction. Items featured in the sale include:
Blending tower equipment including: high intensity mixers by Mixaco and Reliance, weigh hoppers, loaders, silos, pumps, chillers and air compressors. Extruders from Maplan, Theyson and Cincinnati, and a selection of co-extruders. Downstream and plastic auxiliary equipment including: vacuum calibration tables by CDS, Great Tool and Technoplast; Battenfeld-Cincinnati guillotines; CDS saws; pullers by CDS, Technoplast and Maplan; CDS Model CCT dump tables; granulators; post routers. Support equipment including: forklift, scissor lifts, toolroom machinery, dust collector and test equipment, silos and pallet racks.
