Sale of Meat Processing and Refrigeration Equipment

Pittsburgh based auctioneers and appraisers for the food and beverage industries, Harry Davis & Company, will auction a selection of meat processing and refrigeration equipment formerly of Cargill located in Plainview, Texas.

Cargill were founded in 1865 and now work across 70 countries. The company provide products and services across the agricultural, food, financial and industrial sectors. In 2013 Cargill announced that they would idle their beef processing plant located in Plainview, Texas, in light of dwindling cattle supplies and a regional overcapacity for beef processing. The plant was put up for sale in 2015.

The online auction will take place between the 23rd and 25th of October. Key assets include:

Refrigeration Equipment including: Mycom 600 HP Scew Ammonia Compressor; FES 500 HP Screw Ammonia Compressors. Spiral Freezers including: Aero S/S Spiral Freezer with 32″ Wide Poly Belt, 9″ Product Spacing,16-Tier High; FMC S/S Spiral Freezer with 30″ Wide S/S Belt (1,700 ft), 12″ Product Spacing, 26-Tier High. Carcass Washer, Hide Pullers, Double Tube Heat Exchangers. Meat Processing Equipment including:Poss Limited Bone Crusher, Model CCM 2000; Cryovac Old Rivers 5-Head Vacuum Packager and S/S Heat Tunnel. Rotary Dryer, Methane Blower, Reverse Osmosis System, Meat Rail, Air Compressors, Electrical Equipment, Lab Equipment and General Plant Equipment.
