8th September 2020 – Auction of Machining Equipment from Triumph Motorcycles

Surplus asset management specialist Apex Auctions is headquartered in Brighton, UK, with a network of agents covering industrial areas across the world. With more than 15 years of experience, the firm conducts over 150 online auctions every year, selling 30,000 items annually via their platforms to buyers across 62 countries. In an online auction closing on the 8th of September Apex Auctions will sell a great selection of machining equipment surplus to the ongoing needs of Triumph Motorcycles.

UK-based Triumph Motorcycles operates production sites in Leicestershire, UK and Thailand, with factories in Brazil and India supplying local markets. In February this year Triumph Motorcycles announced plans to move mass production to Thailand, a move influenced by the firm’s expanding Asian market. Of the 65,000 bikes planned for manufacture this year 52-53,000 will be manufactured in Thailand. Triumph’s UK site will become a research and development centre.

The assets are located in Hinckley, Leicestershire and may be viewed on the 25th of August. Lots featured in the sale include: Enshu JE60 twin pallet 4 axis CNC horizontal machining centre with Fanuc 16-M control; Enshu EV530 3-axis CNC vertical machining centre with Fanuc 18i-M control; Enshu JE80 twin pallet -axis CNC horizontal machining centre with Fanuc 16-M control; Ansou Crankshaft air leakage testing machine with Jukuda turbo control; Enshu J40H 4-axis CNC horizontal machining centre with Fanuc 18-M control; Kobe Parts rotating parts washer model RW-10K-60-OP; Wards Ovens electric oven with vertical conveyor & loading/unloading traverse; large selection of tombstones with fixtures and hydraulic clamping and much more. Offered as collective lots are two production lines for the manufacture of crank case/cylinder heads, featuring horizontal/vertical CNC machining centres, ovens, wash tanks, seat presses and pressure leak test machines.
