Auction, appraisal and liquidation specialists HyperAMS was founded in 2010. The Asset Disposition division of HyperAMS specialises in live and webcast auctions, and in investing in surplus assets whilst the Appraisal division of the company provides valuation services for equipment, machinery and inventory across multiple industry sectors. The firm is selling a wood pellet manufacturing plant operated by Trae Fuels and located in Burnpass, Virginia.
The Trae Fuels pellet and chip mill is located on a 72-acre site, well situated for access to East Coast rail and shipping systems. The site manufactures wood pellets for use in domestic heating and for power generation. The full-scale chipping operation has an annual capacity of 130,000 tonnes. The main pelleting plant is fitted with two chip dryers, four 500 horsepower pelleting mills, 600-ton main hammermill and a fully automated bagging system. The site also includes a rail siding with capacity for three cars and outdoor storage for 20,000 tonnes of product.
The online only auction opens on the 20th of October and bidding closes on the 27th of October. Inspection will take place on the 26th of October by appointment only.
