Rabin is selling bakery equipment from a major cake and pastry production facility formerly operated by Awrey Bakery. The auction which is to take place on the 24th of January, is held in partnership with Maynards and LOEB. Awrey Bakery manufactured cake and pastry products for retailers and distributors, including sheet cakes and brownies, Danish and fruit filled shortbread bars. The firm also offered contract baking and co-packing services. The closure of the bakery, after 113 years of operation, was announced by the owners Minnie Marie Bakers Inc., in summer 2023.
Assets available in the auction include a pastry production department featuring Vemag make-up line with HP30E filler, Uni-Filler “Cakeline” decorating system, Rademaker Danish make-up line, Rondo & Moline mobile dough gauging systems, depositors, icers, toppers, cake pan greasers; dough mixers, portioners and cooling pans including (3) Shaffer jacketed wall single blade sigma mixers, (4) AMF 340-quart planetary mixers, Oakes continuous and slurry type mixers, Breddo 50 gal. mobile liquefier; packaging lines and equipment, production and facility support equipment and much, much more. The assets are located in Livonia, Michigan and are available for preview on the 22nd and 23rd of January.
