Apex Auctions is selling a huge offering of CNC Machines and manufacturing equipment, including CNC lathes and machining centres, from a manufacturing facility operated by Brecknell Willis. The online auction will close on the 30th of January. The assets come to the market due to the closure of the site in Somerset, UK. The sale takes place in conjunction with Chain Asset Management Solutions. Wabtec company Brecknell Willis specialises in the manufacture of electrification equipment for railways. The decision to close their production facility in Chard, Somerset was announced earlier this year. Production from the site will be transferred to other Wabtec locations, whilst engineering, project management and sales functions will be retained at the Chard site. The decision to cease production at the plant came following a review of the global manufacturing footprint of the company.
