CRG is auctioning printing equipment and other print press assets from a daily newspaper printing facility operated by the Kansas City Star. The auction takes place in conjunction with PPL Group and North East Printing Machinery Inc.

The Kansas City Star daily newspaper printing facility in Kansas City, Missouri, was built in 2006. The closure of the printing plant was announced in 2020 after McClatchy, the parent company of the newspaper, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February 2020.               

The online auction closes on the 7th of December and features: (4) 2005 KBA Commander web offset presses to be sold by components, approximately 15 Quipp 500 stackers, (2) 2004 Muller SLS 3000 30:2 inserters, (5) Accraply Post It note applicators, Ferag Gripper transport system, (6) Dynaric NP 5000 strappers, (6) Schur palletizing systems, (4) Agfa Advantage CTP platemaking systems, (4) Nela Plate punch and benders, (7) Scitex Versamark DP5120 ink jet printers, large robotic roll retrieval system, (2) 2004 Atlas Copco GA250W – 325HP air compressors, (2) Ingersoll Rand NVC1600W40N air dryers, maintenance shop equipment, forklifts and more. The assets can be inspected on the 6th of December.
