Rabin, in partnership with CRG and PPL Auctions, is selling metalworking assets from a paper mill formerly operated by Verso Corporation. Day 1 of the 3-day timed, online auction takes place on the 23rd of April.
Verso Corporation specialised in the manufacture of coated paper products. The firm merged with Swedish pulp and paper company Billerud in 2022. The Wisconsin Rapids paper mill was idled in 2020. Billerud continued converting operation at the facility – producing graphic paper and cartonboard sheets from rolls – after the merger. The sale of the idled portions of the mill was announced earlier this year.
The sale on April 23rd includes machine and fabricating shop equipment from the mill. Around 635 lots feature in the auction including: Atlantic 10’ x ½” hydraulic shear, Pexto 10’ hydraulic press brake, Handley & Beloit, PS&W and Roundo pyramid rolls, L-Tec tracer-shape CNC cutting machine, Leblond & Summit engine and tool room lathes, American Pacemaker & Monarch large bed roll turning lathes, American Hole Wizard radial arm drill, Hydraulic H Frame and arbor presses, steel plate, structural, bar and pipe stock, and much more.
The assets can be inspected by appointment with the auctioneer only.
